I really like how easy it is to change my box before it ships. I can swap stuff out and pick what my family will actually eat, which is super helpful. Sometimes, sometimes the things I want are already gone, but most weeks it works out just fine.

At first I was happy because the site was easy enough to use and I found what I needed without much trouble. But then I started getting a bit annoyed because the pages were loading kinda slow, and by the time I got to checkout it felt clunkier than I expected. It worked in the end, so I can’t be too mad, but it definitely took some of the excitement out of the purchase

The fish was okay, nothing really wrong there, but something about it just felt frustrating once I had to deal with support. I had a billing question and it took days to get a reply. I ended up following up twice, which wasn’t great. Not really happy with that part

I’ve been happy with the fish options so far, especially the salmon and cod. The quality has been consistently good, it’s been a small win for me because I’ve actually been cooking at home more instead of defaulting to takeout. I do wish there was a little more variety some months, maybe some shellfish or a few different white fish options, but overall I’m still happy with it.

My order showed up a little late. I emailed them about it. They replied quickly. They fixed the problem without any hassle. It was simple and easy. I really appreciated that. I’ll order from them again

I’m a bit confused because I expected the seafood to be fresh, but the fish had this old smell to it. It just didn’t seem right, and I wasn’t comfortable eating much of it

I signed up mostly because of the whole sustainable sourcing thing, and I really wanted to feel good about that part. But when the boxes came, the info about where the fish was actually from felt kind of vague. Maybe it’s all legit and I’m sure there’s something behind it, but I was hoping for more details or proof instead of just this general “responsibly sourced” type of wording. After a couple boxes, I ended up canceling.

I’ve ordered a few boxes from Wild Alaskan Company and, the fish has been really good. It tastes fresh, the portions are convenient, and shipping has been fine for me so far. That said, it’s definitely not cheap, so I don’t order every month. I get that good seafood costs money, but the total still adds up more than I’d like. Overall, I do think it’s a fair value compared to buying quality seafood locally, but I’m giving 4 stars because the price is a bit annoying.

I ended up standing there in my socks repacking everything into bags, moving around frozen peas and an old pint of ice cream, and it still took up about half the freezer. Not the end of the world, just kind of annoying.

Most nights I keep it simple with salt, pepper, a little olive oil, and fresh lemon, then either bake it on a sheet pan or cook it in a skillet. I really appreciate that the pieces are even-sized, so they cook consistently and don’t take much babysitting. Dinner is usually done fast, and cleanup is basically just one pan.

The portioning is probably my favorite detail because there’s no trimming, guessing, or dealing with a huge piece of fish when I only need enough for one meal. It makes fish feel like an easy weeknight option instead of a whole project. Definitely a 5-star experience for me
